CAD workflow assistance
Drawing and component work depends on the CAD software in use. This example is a way to look at repetitive preparation and data entry. Automated modelling is not offered until the software, file types, and rules have been assessed. If a file format or a modelling rule cannot be read reliably, that part stays with the person who owns the drawing.
What goes in
The CAD environment, the drawing files or component records you choose to connect, your naming rules, and the preparation steps the team wants examined.
What the engine does
- Review the software, the file types, and the preparation steps that repeat.
- Identify which data entry can follow an explicit rule.
- Test a narrow workflow on sample files before any broader build.
- Stop where the software or the drawing requires a person.
What your team receives
A scoped recommendation and, only where the assessment supports it, a first workflow for preparation or component records. Modelling the tools cannot support stays manual. The first pass is an assessment, not a commitment to redraw a model.
